Big Canoe Creek Nature Preserve, an Alabama Forever Wild site in Springville is opening soon with hiking and horseback riding trails and a pristine creek for kayaking, canoeing and simply enjoying. Acres of forest with all kinds of native species surround it, enticing all who love nature to come and spend a day there.

Patrons of the arts will be drawn to Artscape Gallery and Pell City Center for Education the Performing Arts in the heart of St. Clair County, and myriad theaters, concert halls, art galleries and museums await within a 40-minute drive. Coming soon is Museum of Pell City, a 4,000-square-foot history museum for Pell City, surrounding areas and the state – all under one roof.

Shopping in and around St. Clair County ranges from antiques and unique, locally owned specialty shops to strip malls to a high-end retail outlet mall to an outdoors mall that has become a destination point in Leeds.
