St. Clair County is located in central Alabama, just east of the state’s largest city, Birmingham, and Jefferson County. One of the fastest growing counties in the state, its population in the 2020 U.S. Census was 91,103. Median income is $58,308. Median home value is $154,900.

Two major intestates intersect St. Clair County – I-20 and I-59. The Coosa River and two major lakes – Logan Martin and Neely Henry – run through it.

The county has two courthouses. The Northern Division is in Ashville. The Southern Division is in Pell City.
